TAS is assisting both Salford university and TMBC to see if archaeology still exists in the park so that a big dig can occur in 2013 in Droylsden. for more details click on the link below:

Superficial  geology of this area: Ice Age glaciers scoured the landscape and depositing moraines of till (boulder clay) with outwash sand and gravel deposits from seasonal and post glacial meltwaters.
